"Metta during the Madness"

We've made a slight time change for our meetings in 2023. Metta now meets

Wednesdays, 8am Pacific/11 am Eastern.

How this got started: During the US presidential election period starting November 3rd, 2020, I began hosting a meeting place for Lovingkindness or Metta meditation. The purpose was to create a non-denominational, safe place to do contemplative practice, acknowledging the special uncertainties and high emotions that many of us were experiencing during that time. The practice was so nourishing that we decided to continue the sessions. We now meet Wednesdays at  8am Pacific/11 am Eastern, unless otherwise noted here. (Occasionally, for holidays or personal scheduling reasons, there will be no meeting.)

All are welcome, regardless of affiliations. No experience needed.  No fee, no sign-up. Just come whenever it serves your needs.

How it generally goes:  A basic Metta or Lovingkindness practice will be described for the first 5 minutes followed by silent practice from 5 minutes after the hour to 25 minutes after. Please have your mic muted during the meditation. The Zoom room will stay open until 40 minutes after the hour for those who would like to commune or discuss (optional).
